How do I know where my donation goes?
When you make a donation to Quinte Youth Unlimited (QYFC) we give you the option to designate where your donation goes. We have various staff persons and ministries that can be selected using our online or paper donation forms. If this categories is left blank, the money is set aside by our accounting department as the board of directors discretion, and will be applied where it is most needed.
What's the difference between partnership, support and donations?
QYU (YFC) ministry is funded primarily by individuals, businesses and churches in our local area. We use terms like partnership, support, donate and deputation to communicate what we believe about Christian ministry: we cannot do this without you. Each term refers to the same thing, however can have subjective differences to each individual. We do not want our community to feel they are not involved in our ministry to youth - we want our community to feel they are part of this ministry.
Where is my community?
In our list of staff and ministries, you may not see the name of your community. Over the years we have decided to change from separate community names to using ministry names instead. Our goal is reduce the silo effect that each community had to their little corner of ministry. It also allows individuals from each community the freedom to donate to whatever ministry they feel led to support, instead of just their community ministry. In the transition from community names to ministry names, we are still able to report how many donations come from one specific community. How do I get a tax receipt?
All donations over $20 will automatically receive a tax receipt. These receipts are printed in January and sent at the beginning of February each year, allowing you sufficient time before tax season. If you have a special need to receive your tax receipts in another time or manner, please contact our Administrative office.
Donations made through CanadaHelps and other charitable services will not receive a tax receipt from QYU as they have their own receipting services.

How do I know my donation information is safe?

WHY DO YOU HAVE FUNDRaiser events?
Each year YFC hosts various fundraising events to help raise awareness and funds for the ministry. It is a great way to engage with our staff and youth beyond making a donation. See some of our Fundraiser Events, or ask for more info.
