QYU Golf Marathon

OVERVIEW

The QYU GOLF MARATHON is an endurance tournament for avid golfers who want to try 3 rounds (that's 54 holes) in one day! Each golfer will earn prizes, satisfaction from accomplishing a huge task, and pride of supporting a good cause. Golfers play for free as they raise support for Quinte Youth Unlimted (YFC). In previous years, our golfers averaged over $1700 of support each. Read our info sheet here.

2024 GOLFERS

Those with a love of golf and possess the physical stamina to endure 54 holes in one day. Golfers must register to confirm their place in the marathon (maximum 18 golfers) and to get info to share how your golf buddies can support you to play.
Each golfer will get a cart and a driver to help you move along at a good speed. You will also get a QYU Golf Marathon jacket as appreciation and congratulations for your hard work golfing and fundraising. We also have prizes for fun golf stats like lowest score, least amount of balls lost, most funds raised.

Location: Oak Hills Golf Course, Stirling
Time: Tee Off around 8:30am and finish around 6pm (all times approximate based on conditions)

GETTING STARTED

Signing up for the QYU Golf Marathon is easy.

Click on the blue "Register to Golf" button above to get started. Make sure to fill out all the necessary information.
Once you register, start telling your friends, family and golf buddies to support you. They can go to www.QYU.ca/golf and click "Support a Golfer" link. We also have Golf Marathon business cards to easily pass out for your friends to take home to learn more.

SUPPORT GOAL

People love supporting a fun event for a good cause! Our support goal is $1000 for each golfer with all funds going to QYU ministry programs. In previous years, average support was over $1700 raised by each golfer.

To raise the funds, each golfer can ask friends, family, work colleagues, and golf buddies to sponsor a small amount using this simple SUPPORT A GOLFER ONLINE FORM. For example:
4 friends sponsor $5 per hole ($270 each) = $1080
10 friends sponsor at $2 per hole ($108 each) = $1080
20 friends sponsor at $1 per hole ($54 each) = $1080
40 friends sponsor at .50 per hole ($27 each) = $1080
Players get progress updates of how much they've raised with Google Sheets (preferred). Alternatively, players can track their progress with a PRINTABLE SPONSOR FORM. Ask us and we can give you some tips and examples of what do and what to say.
