QYU - Bolivia PartnershipIn 2019, Quinte YFC started a partnership with Bolivia YFC. Our goal is simple: help teens hear the good news of Jesus - all over the world. We believe that Canada has a lot to give and learn from the passion and people of Bolivia.
Some of the key characteristics of the ministry are evangelistic events in town squares, radio, TV, camps, seminars, conferences, music trips, counseling, social involvement, training in colleges, workshops. About BoliviaBolivia is named after the independence fighter Simon Bolivar; it broke away from Spanish rule in 1825; much of its subsequent history has consisted of a series of nearly 200 coups and counter-coups.
Bolivia has a population of 11,5 million people with indigenous people making up about two-thirds of the population. Bolivia is one of the few states in the world with two capitals: La Paz (the seat of the government) and Sucre (the legal capital). Spoken languages are Spanish (official), Aymara, Quechua, Guaraní and 34 other native languages. |
